Every tool in the CMMC market says "AI-powered" and means the same thing: a chatbot inside their app. CMMC Map does the inverse as well — it makes your compliance workspace available to the AI you already use, through a native MCP connector. Connect it once, and Claude can answer questions about your actual posture: your controls, your score, your documents, your gaps.

What That Looks Like in Practice

You're writing a response to a prime's security questionnaire, in Claude, where you write everything else. Instead of switching apps and copying numbers, you ask:

"What's our current SPRS score, which 5-point controls are still open, and what did our SSP commit to for remote access?"

Claude queries your workspace through the connector and answers from your recorded assessment — the same stored, stamped data an assessor would see. Then: "Draft the questionnaire answer, and flag anything we shouldn't claim yet." The flag matters: because the answers are grounded in your actual statuses, the AI knows the difference between what you've implemented and what's still on the POA&M.

Where This Is Going

Compliance data has always lived in silos that only humans with logins could read. MCP changes the interface: your readiness posture becomes something your tools can consult — questionnaire drafts grounded in real statuses, board summaries that cite the actual score trend, a prime's ask answered in minutes. We built the connector because we think that's where this entire category ends up, and we'd rather be first.
